Gem City College is accredited by ACICS. On December 12, 2016, ACICS lost its recognition with the United States Department of Education. Gem City College has 18 months (June 12, 2018) following the loss of ACICS’ recognition to find a new accrediting agency to maintain eligibility to receive funds under Title IV, HEA programs, and if Gem City College does not obtain accreditation within the 18 months provided, the institution is no longer eligible to receive funds under Title IV, HEA programs.
